Computing

Our computing lessons aim to equip the children with a range of digital skills and knowledge that prepare them for the rapidly changing digital world.  All children have to opportunity to explore a range of digital tools and technologies in an age-appropriate way, from Nursery to Year 6.

Children are supported and taught to think critically, creatively and imaginatively to solve problems with confidence and allows them to develop the skills to analyse, design and create technology solutions for real-world problems, and to understand the impact of computing in society.  Children are taught the knowledge and skills to learn about coding, media, handling data, and communication.

Children have access to tablets, chrome books, laptops and desk top computers as part of their computing lessons and through other subjects.

Online safety

In response to children's increasing online presence outside of school, we also teach online safety lessons to support them to develop the knowledge and skills to enjoy using technology but knowing how to keep themselves safe, including recognising and responding to cyberbullying.
