Year 6 Residential 2026
Final day Friday 26th June
On our final day, we enjoyed slightly cooler weather as some of us took part in problem solving activities and keelboat sailing. We had great fun out on the water, followed by fish and chips for lunch before our long journey home. We enjoyed some songs on the coach and some fun awards to mark the end of what was an amazing, fun-filled week. The children were absolutely amazing and we are incredibly proud of them all!

Day 4 Thursday 25th June
Today, the children are enjoying some exciting activities, including laser tag, Jacob’s Ladder, high ropes, and more. There is a lively atmosphere across the site, and everyone is getting involved and trying new challenges. This evening, we will enjoy a disco to mark the end of our adventure before packing for the journey home tomorrow. It is (every so slightly) cooler today, and the children are having great fun. We are continuing with regular rest breaks in the shade and time to reapply sun cream and drink water so that we can keep going and enjoy every last minute.

Day 3 Wednesday 24th June 2026
Day three in Little Canada, and we’ve had another fun-packed day while doing our best to stay cool. We’ve had plenty of breaks to top up our water, sun cream, and time to relax in the shade. Today’s activities included rock climbing, trapeze, problem-solving, and the matrix (escape rooms).

Today was another scorcher, but we still had lots of fun while staying safe in the sun. Our first morning at PGL began with an early wake-up and a cooked breakfast before another busy day. The children enjoyed problem-solving, rock climbing, zip wires and keel boating. They have been brilliant and fully engaged in all the activities on offer! This evening, we will have some games after dinner and some time to relax before bed.

Monday 22nd June
We have had a very busy, and hot, first day. It’s been jam-packed and the children have enjoyed lots of fun activities. After a lovely crossing on the ferry, we arrived at the centre and got straight into abseiling and orienteering. The children were real stars and have given everything a go. After a delicious dinner of chicken in tomato sauce, fish fingers, pasta, and the salad bar, we played a variety of games and had some chill-out time in our cabins before bed. We have got some photos of today, but we will add even more tomorrow when our groups have a full itinerary.
