Monday 2nd July
Quote of the day -
Dennis - 'I didn't realise the Isle of Wight was an island!'
Abigail - 'My motto for the week is eat, sleep, rave, repeat!'
What a wonderful start to our trip! After a very hot coach journey to Portsmouth, we had a sunny and calm ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight. All of the children enjoyed sitting on the top deck of the ferry looking at the views and eating their sweets!
When we arrived at Little Canada, our PGL group leader took us on a tour of the site so we can all find our way around. Then we were shown to our cabins and had a chance to unpack - some of the cabins still have some unpacking to do! All of the children are very happy with their cabin groups and have settled well into their rooms.
Everyone enjoyed their dinner this evening. We had a wide selection to choose from: fish fingers and chips, cottage pie or a goats cheese and vegetable tart. We even had doughnuts for pudding!
The children are currently taking part in the evening activity 'Ambush', they were last seen running and hiding in the trees and bushes around Little Canada.
Tomorrow will be another sunny and busy day. Some of the children will take part in the sensory trail and Jacob's ladder, as well as many other activities. The teachers are all hoping for an early night ready for a busy day tomorrow!
