Meridian Nursery

The Meridian Primary School Nursery has been open since September 2016 and is a wonderful environment for our 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

We offer a range of sessions from 8.40am - 3:10pm with a maximum of 30 children per session.

We also offer an "Early Bird" session from 8.40am - 9.10am and this is payable for all at £4.00 per session.

If you have a child looking to start nursery soon and are interested to find out more about the new 30 hour offer then please follow this link https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/

Miss Nadia Pentland is our Early Years Leader who oversees the provision and practice across Nursery and Reception. She is also our Nursery Teacher and is supported by a team of wonderful Teaching Assistants: Mrs Katherine Cox, Miss Meenakashi Jain and Miss Rosie Collis.  Every child is allocated a Key Worker from the Nursery team and this is discussed with you when your child starts.

Session Times, Funding and Fees

Children can join Meridian Nursery for one or more full or part-time days. We offer flexible days/sessions to support our parents, carers and children.

All 3 year olds are entitled to up to 15 hours funded nursery care after they turn 3 years.  The date you can claim will depend on when their birthday is.

Children may attend nursery on the day after their 2nd birthday but this would need to be paid for as you would not receive funding until after they turn 3 years and within the above birthday ranges, unless they are entitled to a funded place (see below for eligibility for funded places for 2 year olds.)

If children are already receiving funding from another pre-school provider or nursery, they are not eligible for an additional 15 hours but may share funded hours between settings.

Extra hours can be bought at a cost of £6.00 per hour and one off sessions may be purchased subject to availability.
