Hello from Meridian's Parent Council!
The parent council has been set up as another way of communicating with parents/carers and to share views and find out more about how Meridian Primary School works. It is another way in which the school is able to find out about the views of parents and for the school to share successes, what current improvements are being worked on and to answer questions parents might have about education at Meridian. The parent council is made up of a group of parents from across the school and members of the Senior Leadership Team and we are really excited about this opportunity at Meridian for parents and the school to work in partnership with one another to support our children. Click here to meet us.
We want to help parents/carers have a better understanding of how Meridian school operates and how the school is developing and improving. We hope to help parents/carers support their children's learning and help parents understand what is happening in school to make sure our children are getting the best education. We won't be able to raise individual issues or specific complaints or concerns - the school has a complaints procedure for this and your first step should be to talk to your child's class teacher.
We would love you to be involved!
Would you like to find out more about how Meridian operates? What school topics are you interested in? How can we best gather views of parents? What would help you to support your children's learning at home? If you have any ideas, questions or topics you would like to find out more about, please get in touch. You can speak directly to any of us, email us (parent council email address tbc) or leave a note for us in your child's book bag. We are still low on representation in Years 4, 5 and 6. Please have a chat with one of us if you think you could help.
We look forward to hearing your views!
