Suddenly the son stopped, rain trickled down his ear. He looked in front of him and saw a stormy, sandy, mystical beach surrounded by big, black rocks that were covered in seaweed, starfish and shells. He heard leaves brushing against each other, so he turned around and the fox jumped out of the green bushes covered in blossoming flowers behind him. “You need to swim the ocean to find the golden apples,” the fox said kicking sand behind him as he walked. “How will I breath?” the son asked; then the fox jumped on top of one of the rocks and started circling a sparkling piece of glowing seaweed. “Eat this” the fox said patting his furry tale on the piece of seaweed. “O – ok” the son said, picking the piece of seaweed and putting it into his mouth. As he chewed the fox grabbed his cloak with his mouth and pulled him into the water. The son looked around him. He could see bright colours coming from the fish, mermaid and mermen swimming all around him. The son looked up and saw the golden bird flying in the sky above the water. The son hurried and tried to catch up with the bird, but it was too fast and he lost it; but then he came to a big rock floating on top of the water that began to glow. He swam up to the surface and saw a bird’s nest and inside the nest he saw the golden apples, so he reached out a hand to grab them, but before he could the golden bird swooped down and lifted them up into the sky with him and flew away. The son swam to the big white cliffs next to the water, he got out of the water and began to climb them, soon he reached the top. The son set out on the next stage of his journey. |
