Thursday 5th July
Quote of the day -
Hayden - ‘Are they rich in this country?’ (After seeing an Audi R8)
Everyone has had a brilliant day today. Again, all the children were asleep by midnight ready for their busy day today! Breakfast this morning was a choice of cereal, fruit, toast, baked beans, bacon and omelette. This morning, Turtle Class had a go at giant swing and fencing while Piranha Class went kayaking. All of Piranha Class enjoyed kayaking and playing games in the sea and Turtle Class loved their go on the giant swing!
For lunch we could choose from: pasta with carbonara sauce, tomato pasta sauce or quorn carbonara - we even had garlic bread! After lunch, they enjoyed spending their money in the shop - some of them still have money left to spend! This afternoon, all of the children had a go at trapeze. They persevered and showed determination to climb really high and some of them even managed to reach the trapeze bar when they jumped off the platform! Turtle Class also had a go at archery this afternoon and Piranha Class showed off their climbing skills on the catwalk.
After our busy day of activities, we were all looking forward to dinner. We could choose from: meatballs, rice, chicken and vegetable pie with potatoes or stuffed peppers. Lots of the children enjoyed their rice-krispie cake for pudding.
After dinner, they had chance to pack their belongings ready for tomorrow and get ready for the disco. Some of the cabins still have some packing and tidying to do after the disco. The children are currently in the disco in the sports hall, they are enjoying dancing to their favourite songs!
Tomorrow, all of the children will participate in two more activities: sports and team games, as well as climbing or 'all aboard'.
All of the staff on the trip have been really impressed with the children's strength, determination and positive attitude all week. They have all challenged themselves and given every activity their best and it has been brilliant to see them achieve more and more every day. They've represented Meridian brilliantly and we are all very proud of them all! They can't wait to tell you all about their trip to Little Canada - what a super week!
